International Automotive Components completes Collins & Aikman soft trim acquisition

On October 12, 2007, International Automotive Components Group North America (IACNA) announced that it had completed the acquisition of the soft trim division from Collins and Aikman, which included facilities in the US, Canada and Mexico. IACNA is a leading global supplier of automotive components and systems, including interior and exterior trim and structural and functional applications. IACNA was advised on the Canadian aspects of the transaction by a multidisciplinary team from the Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal offices of Fasken Martineau led by Lata Casciano and Janice Javier, including, among others, Catherine Fraser and Amanda MacAdams (corporate/M&A); Angela Di Padova and Mark Magro (competition); Ralph Nero, Dominique Monet and Alix Herber (employment); Richard Johnston, Lyne Duhaime and Ross Gascho (pensions); Dan Law, Tasha Lackman and Dugan Edmison (real estate); Aubrey Kauffman, Stuart Brotman, Alain Riendeau and Carole Hunter (restructuring); Ronald Nobrega (tax); Paul Casuccio (commodity tax); Lorene Novakowski (privacy); and Charles Kazaz (environmental).
