Aligned Capital acquires Money Managers

Aligned Capital Distribution Inc. announced that it has acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of Money Managers Inc. As a result of the acquisition, the name of MMI has been changed to "Aligned Capital Partners Inc." This acquisition is significant as it allows Aligned Capital Partners Inc to build on a strong base of business and gives them the opportunity to offer Canada's advisors a unique business model and a client centric product and service firm in which they can grow their practice. Aligned Capital Partners Inc is an investment dealer providing a broad range of investment and wealth management products to clients in Ontario. Aligned Capital was advised by a team from Fasken Martineau that included Anil Aggarwal, Wojtek Baraniak, Garth Foster, Mitchell Thaw and Jennifer Butcher.
