Agropur acquires certain assets from Sobeys for C$356 million

On March 22, 2015, Agropur Cooperative (“Agropur”) reached a strategic agreement with Sobeys to complete a C$356 million asset purchase from Sobeys West Inc., Sobeys Western Leasing Inc. and Sobeys Development Limited Partnership (collectively, “Sobeys”). Agropur acquired Sobeys' dairy manufacturing facilities in Western Canada and entered into several long-term supply arrangements, under which Agropur will supply milk, yogurt, and ice cream to Sobeys, Safeway and IGA stores in Western Canada.
