Mueller Copper Tube Products acquires Great Lakes Copper

On July 31, 2015, Mueller Copper Tube Products, Inc. (“Mueller”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mueller Industries, Inc., acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of Great Lakes Copper Ltd. (“GLC”), a manufacturer of copper tube products for the industrial, wholesale and refrigeration markets. Immediately prior to the acquisition, GLC purchased substantially all of the assets, and assumed certain liabilities, of Great Lakes Copper Inc. Mueller paid aggregate consideration of $75 million for the shares of GLC. Mueller was advised in Canada by a team led by Leslie Rose, Krisztian Toth and Will Shaw (M&A), and including Brian Wright (Banking), Paul King (Real Estate), Ralph Nero (Employment), Ross Gascho (Pensions and Benefits), Rosalind Cooper (Environmental), Armand Benitah (Intellectual Property), Mitchell Thaw and Thomas Brook (Tax).
