Cenveo sells packaging business to WestRock

On January 21, 2016, Cenveo, Inc. (Cenveo) announced the completion of the sale of its packaging business to WestRock Converting Company. The sale involves six facilities located in the United States, Canada and Dominican Republic along with strategic sourcing partnerships in Asia and the Caribbean that provide folded carton, shrink sleeve and lithographic laminated display packaging solutions. Cenveo is a leading global provider of print and related resources offering world-class solutions in the areas of custom labels, envelopes, commercial print, content management and publisher solutions. Fasken Martineau acted as Canadian counsel to Cenveo in connection with the sale of the Canadian portion of the packaging business with a team led by Barbara Miller and including Mitchell Thaw (tax), Katherine Pollock (labour & employment), Ross Gascho (pension matters) and John Elias (banking).
