Fasken acted for GI Partners in its acquisition of the Ericsson ICT Global Data Centre facility, a 215,000 square-foot cutting edge data centre located in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec. Fasken handled all aspects of the acquisition including the negotiation of the purchase and sale agreement, mortgage financing, lease and due diligence.
The acquisition price was C$123 million. In a province where data centres are a booming industry, this property is a (if not the) crown jewel. GI Partners is a US-based leading investment firm specializing in private equity and real estate.
