On July 28, 2017, BrightPath Early Learning Inc. (“BrightPath”) completed a plan of arrangement whereby an affiliate of Busy Bees Holdings Limited, a company owned by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, acquired all of the common shares of BrightPath. Pursuant to the plan of arrangement, each common share of BrightPath was acquired for $0.80 in cash, for a total value of approximately C$100 million.

Fasken Martineau advised BrightPath on all aspects of the arrangement with a team that was led by Richard J. Steinberg and that included Will Shaw, Jeremy Mandel, Mitchell Thaw (Tax), Anthony Baldanza (Competition) and Brad Moore and Jonathan Wansbrough (Litigation).
