BDO Canada LLP Completes Acquisition of Lixar I.T., a premier artificial intelligence and data company

On March 2, 2020, BDO Canada LLP (“BDO”), a Canadian leading professional services firm which provides a comprehensive range of assurance, accounting, tax and advisory services, announced that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Lixar I.T. Inc. (“Lixar”). Founded in 2000, Lixar is a premier artificial intelligence and data company that delivers actionable, data-driven solutions with artificial intelligence and data. Fasken acted as counsel to BDO with a team that included Gordon Raman, Mark Brennan, Andre Garber, Ryan Schnier, Fatima Husnain and Lu Chen.
