On December 1, 2020, Smart Employee Benefits Inc. ("SEB") announced the completion of a C$20 million strategic PIPE financing with Co-operators Financial Services Limited. Fasken acted for Co-operators Financial Services Limited in connection with the transaction that included a convertible debenture, inter-creditor agreement and investor rights agreement.
