On August 22, 2022 Towerhill Insurance Underwriters Inc. (o/a Excess Underwriting Company) ("the buyer"), a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher Canada Limited, announced its acquisition of Core Underwriting Services Inc. ("Core") by way of a share purchase agreement.
Core is a Managing General Agent (MGA) that specializes in commercial insurance solutions for Canadians on standard and non-standard property and liability coverage.
Fasken advised the buyer in connection with this transaction with a team comprised of Wojtek Baraniak, Jack Yu, Craig Bellefontaine, Fatima Husnain, Taylor West and Irene Lai (Articling Student).
