In October 2020, Le Château, a publicly-listed Canadian retail chain, petitioned for protection under the Companies’ Creditor Arrangement Act (CCAA). The Canadian arms of Gordon Brothers and Hilco Streambank were the court-approved liquidators of the retail inventory, furniture, fixtures and equipment of Le Château.

Fasken advised the Gordon Brothers and Hilco Streambank joint venture with a team comprised of Stuart Brotman, Daniel Richer, Marc-André Morin and Éliane Dupéré-Tremblay.
