On November 9, 2023, SCR-Sibelco NV (“Sibelco”), a Belgian based global material solutions company closed a joint venture transaction with Avalon Advanced Materials Inc. (“Avalon”)
The new joint venture company Separation Rapids Ltd., 60% owned by Sibelco and 40% owned by Avalon, will work to advance mining operations in Fort Hope, Ontario and Kenora, Ontario, respectively. Sibelco is responsible for the first approximately C$50 million of operation expenditures.
