H.W. International B.V. sells its North American operations to Risk Strategies

On March 19, 2024, Risk Strategies, a specialty insurance brokerage and risk management firm, announced its acquisition of Hugh Wood Inc. (U.S.) and Hugh Wood Canada Limited, the North American operating entities of H.W. International B.V. The transaction was a multi-jurisdictional, cross border transaction involving Canada and the United States.

H.W. International B.V. is a global, privately-owned insurance broker with a multinational footprint and clients in more than 90 countries. Hugh Wood Canada Limited is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario and is a niche specialty broker focused on complex commercial lines placements and personal asset protection.
