On January 16, 2024, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (“Gallagher”), through its reinsurance division, Gallagher Re Inc. (“Gallagher Re”) completed the acquisition of Toronto, Ontario-based 11492446 Canada Inc. (dba MGB Re) which provides reinsurance solutions to health maintenance organizations (HMOs), managing general underwriters (MGUs) and insurance companies in the U.S. medical sector.

This acquisition accelerates the growth of Gallagher’s medical reinsurance business and broadens its service offerings, leveraging MGB Re's strong client relationships and expertise.
