On July 17, 2025, the Adult Corrections Facility Replacement Project (“the Project”), comprised of a consortium led by Plenary Americas reached financial close worth C$692 million. The Project which achieved commercial close on July 15, 2025, concerns the design, building, financing, maintenance and performance of the lifecycle rehabilitation of a new prison facility fitted with 395 beds, replacing of one of Canada’s oldest prisons in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Fasken advised the lenders to the winning consortium with a team led by Marc Lefler which included Brian Kelsall, Ella Plotkin, Adam Lewinberg, Zackary Burashko and Shazad Omarali.
