The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA), formerly the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA), is the national industry association championing the advancement of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in Canada. Together with its three provincial affiliates—Hydrogen BC, Hydrogen Alberta, and Hydrogen Ontario—the CHA supports policy development, investment, and innovation across the entire hydrogen value chain.
As a non-profit representing over 200 organizations, the CHA has been instrumental in positioning Canada as a global leader in hydrogen and hydrogen-related technologies. By promoting the production and adoption of clean, low-carbon hydrogen, the CHA is helping to decarbonize the Canadian economy and support the country’s ambitious greenhouse gas reduction goals.
Fasken is proud to serve as the exclusive legal services partner to the Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA) and its provincial affiliates, advising on a broad spectrum of legal matters including corporate governance, not-for-profit law, political law, cybersecurity, strategic planning, public policy, and lobbying. A multidisciplinary team led by Daniel Brock, and comprising André Turmel, Guy Giorno, Scott Whitby, Claudia Feldkamp, Dierk Ullrich, Chris Bystrom, Annick Gilbert, Kai Olson, Philippe Desrosier and Aniket Bhatt provides strategic counsel tailored to the evolving needs of the organization.
Fasken also contributes a designated annual value of pro bono legal services to the CHA, with several team members serving as board members or special legal advisors to the association and its regional affiliates.
