Astrus Inc., a Toronto and Kitchener-Waterloo-based innovator in analog semiconductor design, has secured US$8 million from a seed funding round led by Khosla Ventures, a venture capital firm renowned for backing deep tech and AI-driven startups. Existing investors 1517 Fund, Drive Capital, Alumni Ventures, RiSC Capital, and MVP Ventures also participated in the round, as well as new investor Juniper Networks co-founder Pradeep Sindhu. The company intends to use the proceeds to expand its engineering team, accelerate product development, and scale its AI platform to meet growing demand in the semiconductor industry.
