On September 30, 2025, Plenary Americas achieved commercial close on the Los Angeles Convention Center Expansion and Modernization Project, a transformative infrastructure project valued at US$2.6 billion.
The project will deliver significant upgrades to the existing facility, including 190,000 square feet of contiguous exhibition space, 39,000 square feet of new meeting rooms, and 95,000 square feet of multipurpose space.
The expansion is designed to meet Olympic Readiness by spring 2028, in advance of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with full completion anticipated in 2029. Once complete, the enhanced convention center is expected to generate substantial economic benefits to the Greater Los Angeles Area.
Fasken advised the winning consortium of Plenary Americas, AEG, PCL Construction, Webcor and Populous with a team led by Ella Plotkin which included Sean Morley, Zackary Burashko and Shazad Omarali.
