Exceldor Cooperative sells its assets to Sofina Foods

Exceldor Cooperative, a cooperative of approximately 330 member-producers operating in the poultry industry across Québec, Ontario and Manitoba, will sell its assets to Sofina Foods, a Canadian company and a leading Canadian and European manufacturers of primary and further-processed protein products for retail and foodservice.

Fasken advised the Exceldor Cooperative on governance matters and co-operative law in connection with this sale, including on holding meetings with its members and investment shareholders, with a team consisting of Sylvie Bourdeau, Sébastien Bellefleur, Guillaume Saliah, Anthony Sylvain, Alexandra Freedman, Alain Riendeau and Éliane Dupéré-Tremblay.
