Pender Ventures, a venture capital investor, led the financing in Engineered Intelligence, a company founded in 2020 by utility grid planners and asset managers building ENGIN, a grid-aware, modular asset management and investment planning platform for utility companies, with participation from 24/6 Capital Partners, management, and existing investors.
ENGIN helps utility companies simulate, optimize, and project asset management and investment needs based on current grid data, enabling faster, more rigorous, and more regulatorily defensible capital decisions. The company serves a growing customer base across North America, Europe, and other international markets.
Fasken advised Pender Ventures with a team led by Jon Conlin (Emerging Technology), and included Brock Euper (Emerging Technology), Roger Kuypers (Intellectual Property), and Brittany Betts (Articling Student).
