On March 4, 2026, SolGold plc ("SolGold"), a leading mineral exploration and development company with its flagship copper-gold project in Ecuador, announced completion of the all-cash £867 million takeover by Jiangxi Copper (Hong Kong) Company Limited ("JCHK"), a subsidiary of Jiangxi Copper Company Limited.
The acquisition was completed by way of a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement under the laws of England and Wales and was approved by the High Court of Justice in England and Wales on 2 March 2026.
Under the terms of the acquisition, JCHK acquired the entire issued share capital of SolGold.
