Fatima Husnain is an associate in the Firm’s Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions Group, with a practice focused on domestic, cross-border, and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate reorganizations and corporate governance matters.
Fatima has been involved in a wide variety of transactions across a broad range of industries, supporting clients through acquisitions, strategic investments and financing matters. She brings a practical and thoughtful approach to her work and is committed to helping clients navigate transactions efficiently and effectively.
Fatima completed a Juris Doctor and a Master of Social Work at the University of Windsor. Prior to law school, she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and Business from the University of Waterloo.
Before joining the Firm as an associate, Fatima summered and articled with the Firm and was seconded to Pro Bono Ontario. She also completed a clerkship at the Federal Court with the Honourable Justice Henry S. Brown. Earlier in her career, she gained legal experience with the Ontario Financing Authority, Community Legal Aid and Legal Assistance of Windsor. During law school, she was awarded the J.W. Whiteside Award given to students who demonstrate outstanding service, commitment and leadership to Windsor Law and the legal community.
