Gabriella is an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Fasken’s Vancouver office. Gabriella has a broad litigation practice focusing on insurance and product liability.
Gabriella’s insurance litigation practice involves representing insurance companies and corporation in a wide range of claims including, disability, personal injury, motor vehicle, and general tort claims. Gabriella’s product liability practice involves advising and representing manufacturers and distributors in a variety of claims including defective manufacturing and design, property damage, and failure to warn. She has represented clients before the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia.
Gabriella graduated from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, where she was awarded the Lawson Lundell Prize in Administrative Law, the Arthur Close QC Prize in Advanced Legal Research, and the Sugden Prize in Trial Advocacy.
Throughout her legal education, Gabriella worked as a research assistant for professors Nikos Harris, Benjamin Goold and Alexandra Flynn, specializing in criminal procedure, covert police surveillance, and administrative law, respectively, and volunteered as a clinician with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, providing both civil and criminal legal advice and representation for low income clients. In her final term of law school, Gabriella completed a Judicial Internship with the Provincial Court of British Columbia, conducting legal research and providing support to judges in both criminal and civil matters.
Gabriella is a Canadian Bar Association Mentor and is serving a two-year term as a Course Coordinator for the UBC Allan McEachern Trial Advocacy Course.
