Guillaume Synnott is a partner within the Corporate/Commercial Law Group. His practice focuses on the areas of venture capital and private equity financings, mergers and acquisitions and public offerings for high-growth technology companies.
Guillaume is known for his ability to provide creative solutions adapted to his clients’ strategic and business objectives. His clients range from start-up and emerging companies to well-established public companies. He also represents angel investors, venture capital and private equity funds and institutional investors.
Guillaume acts as legal counsel in a wide range of industries, including software as a service (SAAS), big data, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), the Internet of things (IoT), 3D printing, medtech, nanotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI), neurotechnology, blockchain and cryptocurrency.
Guillaume provides a range of legal advice spanning the entire business lifecycle, from inception to liquidity event, including strategic planning, governance, financing rounds, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and business sale.
Guillaume completed the first part of his professional training in Shanghai. He is the first member of the Québec Bar to complete a part of his articling with a Chinese law firm in mainland China.
