Hala joined Fasken in the summer of 2025 following his second year of law school at the Université de Montréal. Passionate about the intersection of law and politics, Hala completed a year in political science at McGill University before starting her law studies.
While at university, she worked part-time for Desjardins General Insurance and had the opportunity to get involved in various initiatives promoting access to justice and diversity in the legal profession. Her dedication also led her to be elected President of the Middle Eastern and North African Law Students’ Association at the Université de Montréal.
She also volunteered to work as a project manager for the Legal Clinic for Non-Profit Organizations through the Pro Bono Student Network of Canada (PBSC). As part of her internship at the Clinique juridique de Saint-Michel, she also had the opportunity to write an appellant’s factum for the Supreme Court of Canada.
Aside from her professional and academic aspirations, Hala is interested in arts, music and competitive sports.
