Overview

Ian Palm’s practice focuses on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and private equity. He helps private and public companies, major corporate clients, pensions funds and private equity and venture capital investors achieve their strategic goals. In addition, Ian has a deep understanding of the technology, energy, life sciences and infrastructure industries, and is co-leader of Fasken’s Global Energy and Climate Group.

Ian advises issuers, investors and underwriters on a range of corporate finance and M&A transactions including private placements, public offerings, private equity and venture capital transactions, joint ventures and public and private M&A.

A frequent lecturer at law schools and conferences on private equity, M&A and securities law, Ian is also a recognized leading practitioner in his field by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, the Lexpert/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada and Best Lawyers in Canada.
