Jasmine Law practices in all areas of labour, employment and human rights law.
Jasmine graduated magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law. During law school, Jasmine gained extensive policy and litigation experience through her internships with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association, the Department of Justice’s Civil Litigation Section, and the Senate of Canada. Jasmine also served as Special Projects Manager and Senior Editor at the Ottawa Law Review, as a teaching assistant for a legal research and writing course, and as a Research Assistant at the uOttawa Refugee Hub working on immigration and human rights issues.
Prior to law school, Jasmine graduated with High Distinction from Carleton University with an Honours Bachelor of Journalism with minors in communication studies and law. She received the Raven’s Award for Outstanding Commitment to the Carleton Community for her leadership and various contributions on campus. Jasmine then worked for an international automaker in corporate communications and public relations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jasmine helped start a scholarship for racialized journalism students at Carleton University.
Before joining Fasken, Jasmine summered and articled at another national law firm and served as a law clerk at the Court of Appeal for British Columbia.
