Jean-Jerry Anty is a lawyer practising with the Corporate/Commercial group in our Montréal office. He focuses his practice on the transactional (mergers and acquisitions) and regulatory aspects of financial services and has particular experience in financial institution regulation. He advises clients on complex legal matters involving a broad range of commercial and strategic issues.
Jean-Jerry advises various Canadian and foreign financial institutions on the regulatory framework with respect to insurance, loans, deposits, payments and other financial products and services. He works closely with lenders, money services businesses, Fintechs and Insurtechs to provide legal advice on compliance and consumer protection.
Prior to joining Fasken, Jean-Jerry worked at another large national law firm. He also practised law in Paris with several leading domestic and international firms, advising financial institutions on French and European financial regulations.
Jean-Jerry holds a Master 2 professional (LLM) in Banking and Finance Law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University. He also earned a Master 2 (MSc) in Finance, with a specialization in project financing and structured finance, jointly conferred by the Université Paris Nanterre and the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
