Overview

Jessica's practice focuses on commercial litigation and arbitration, with an emphasis in insolvency and restructuring. She advises clients on general commercial disputes, all aspects of insolvency and restructuring matters, including cross-border proceedings, and banking and oil and gas related litigation. Clients value Jessica’s practical and collaborative approach to complex legal disputes and restructuring proceedings.

Jessica has acted for debtor companies, guiding them through the process of successful restructuring proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. She is also a trusted advisor to restructuring professionals, including monitors, receivers and trustees. She represents creditors in all manner of debt realization.

Jessica has appeared before the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen's Bench and the Court of Appeal in Alberta, as well as courts in the United States on cross-border matters.

Prior to joining Fasken, Jessica worked with another recognized national law firm in Calgary and prior to that she clerked with the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench, where she was articled to one of the Province's preeminent commercial justices.
