John Elias’ practice is focused predominantly on banking, finance, financial restructurings, and mergers and acquisitions. Regularly advising financial institutions, as well as borrowers and project sponsors on multi-jurisdictional financings, John also works with clients on acquisition financings, corporate facilities, mine financings and project financings.

In his corporate and mergers and acquisitions practice, John advises on cross-border private equity transactions, as well as on international corporate finance transactions involving parties or assets across Canada, US, Central & South America, Europe and Africa.

Formerly the Managing Partner of the firm’s London office and based there for over 10 years, John’s expertise has been recognized by The Legal 500.
