Overview

Jon is an associate in Fasken's Pensions and Benefits Group. He advises plan sponsors and administrators of provincial and federal pension plans on all legal and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on ESG and climate-related investment and governance issues.

Jon graduated from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in the top ten per cent of his class. During law school he served as a research assistant to several professors and completed a clerkship with the Regional Senior Judge of the Ontario Superior Court. Before entering practice, he worked as legislative advisor and issues manager to Ontario’s Minister of Finance.

Jon also teaches in The Osgoode Certificate in Pension Law program and is regularly invited to speak at Osgoode Hall Law School on board governance topics.
