Joseph Cammalleri is an Associate in Fasken’s Labour, Employment, and Human Rights Group, where he maintains a broad labour, employment, and human rights practice. He provides strategic advice to employers across diverse industries on matters including employment contracts, workplace policies, labour relations, and decisions related to employee dismissals.
Joseph also has significant experience in litigation involving employment, labour, and occupational health and safety issues. He has prepared for and attended hearings and mediations concerning wrongful dismissal claims, certification applications, unfair labour practice complaints, interim orders, reprisals and prosecutions under Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act, grievances, and labour arbitrations. He has argued at the appellate level before both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has appeared as co-counsel before the Ontario Labour Relations Board.
Joseph earned his Juris Doctor from Queen’s University Faculty of Law. Before law school, he graduated summa cum laude with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society.
Prior to joining Fasken, Joseph practiced in the employment and labour group of a national law firm in Toronto. Outside of work, he enjoys running, playing guitar, and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs in their pursuit of the Stanley Cup.
