Julia Chung is an associate in Fasken's Insolvency and Restructuring group.
Julia advises companies on a range of bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings related to restructuring, receivership, assertion of contractual claims, exercising of creditors’ rights and debt recovery under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act. She has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
Julia graduated magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law. During her time in law school, she received the Insolvency Institute of Canada Prize in Insolvency Studies for achieving the top grade in the bankruptcy and insolvency law course.
Julia summered and articled with the Firm and was seconded to PC Financial. She speaks Korean and conversational French and is an active member of the firm's Asia-Pacific Practice Group.
