Overview

Julia Rushton is a Partner in the Environmental practice group in the Johannesburg office of Fasken. She has experience in both commercial law and litigation and completed a masters degree in environmental law at the University of Cape Town in 2019.

As a member of the Environmental practice group, Julia assists clients with (i) environmental and regulatory due diligence investigations and advice on the applicable environmental and regulatory conditions precedent, (ii) environmental and regulatory administrative appeals and judicial reviews, (iii) opinion/memorandum drafting, (iv) advice on compliance with all environmental and regulatory legislation and licences, (v) advice on the environmental and regulatory-related clauses in a wide range of commercial agreements, and (vi) advice on environmental and regulatory legal requirements and compliance pertaining to the renewable energy, mining, petrochemical and other industries.
