Julie Delisle is the Montréal and Québec City director of Fasken’s business services department. As such, she heads up the team of paralegals and corporate legal assistants who support our commercial, corporate, banking, taxation, securities, real estate and intellectual property lawyers. Julie is responsible for her team’s administrative, professional development and training needs, and for the creation, implementation and dissemination of various policies and procedures. She also handles recruitment and evaluation of personnel, coordinates and oversees mandates, and prepares and analyses financial reports and statistics on her team’s profitability. In addition, she works in close collaboration with the partners in charge of the different practice groups to identify opportunities for improvement, and represents the firm to various groups and associations as an active member of the legal community.

Before joining Fasken, Julie spent five years as director of corporate services for another Montreal law firm, and has over 20 years of experience as a business law paralegal. She has been involved in a variety of major transactions and in preparing relevant closing documents, such as closing agendas, agreements, resolutions, and documents for corporate and tax restructurings, constitutions, corporate structurings, mergers, acquisitions, rollovers, amendments to articles, prorogations, dissolutions, revivals, extra-provincial registrations, due diligence, and searches on public registries.

Julie has in-depth understanding of our clients’ legal needs and issues. She continually improves her legal skills and management abilities through her participation in a diverse range of conferences and seminars.
