Julien Blanchet-Desbiens joined the Fasken team as a student in 2024 after completing his second year of law school at the Université de Montréal.
During his university studies, Julien distinguished himself through his litigation skills and his involvement on the mentorship committee. In his final year, he won the Pierre-Basile-Mignault civil law moot court competition, where he was named 3rd best litigator (in an individual capacity).
In addition to his law studies, Julien has been a member of Royal Canadian Naval Reserve since 2020. As a part of his duties, he was deployed in a natural disaster response operation.
Outside of his academic and professional activities, Julien loves to travel and is passionate about history and politics.
