Kamilla Break is a Knowledge and Practice Innovation Lawyer supporting Fasken's Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions groups across Canada. Based in Toronto, Kamilla’s practice focuses on developing purpose-built resources, monitoring new and emerging legal developments, and helping maximize the Firm's collective knowledge. Kamilla's work improves efficiency and supports consistency, while delivering exceptional client service through innovative solutions.
Kamilla has extensive experience as a securities lawyer, with an emphasis on corporate finance and capital markets transactions. Her experience includes advising clients on a broad range of transactions, including initial public offerings, secondary equity and debt offerings, private financings and public mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Fasken, Kamilla held roles in-house advising corporate issuers on securities compliance and continuous disclosure obligations; reviewing regulated offers of debt, equity, investment products and derivatives on behalf of New Zealand's financial services and securities regulator; and as a securities associate at another leading Canadian law firm.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Kamilla is an active member of South Rosedale Residents’ Association and her neighborhood swimming pool club. In her spare time, she enjoys fashion styling, walking her dog and backcountry camping.
