Lucas joined the Fasken team as an articling student in winter 2021 after completing two student internships with the firm in 2019. Lucas has a broad range of interests. He first obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Université de Montréal before moving on to a combined Law and MBA program at Université de Sherbrooke. His passion for science and technology led him to conduct research in personalized medicine, and later work in intellectual property for a major Canadian aerospace manufacturer.
Actively involved throughout his academic career, Lucas first joined the Biology Student Association of Université de Montréal before serving on the Executive Committee of the Business Law Club at Université de Sherbrooke.
Prior to joining Fasken, he had his first professional experience as a research trainee in personalized medicine at the CHUM Research Centre then as a student in intellectual property and contracts at a Quebec-based multinational aeronautical company. He also worked as an intellectual property research assistant for Professor Mélanie Bourassa.
On top of his other law and science work, Lucas is the founder and president of an online dispute resolution platform. He also helped Leucan manage its social networks, did pro bono work for the Down Syndrome Association of Estrie, and chaired the Youth Council of the Honourable Mélanie Joly for the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough.
