Madeleine MacLean is an associate in the Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions group. Madeleine maintains a broad corporate/commercial practice and has been involved in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, share and asset purchase transactions, and public and private financings.
Madeleine graduated from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa, where she was on the Dean’s Honour List. While in law school, Madeleine was the Health and Wellness Representative for the Law Students’ Society and a volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada. She was also the recipient of the Betty and Gilbert Kennedy Scholarship in Law for academic achievement and placed first at the 2021 UBC Environmental Law Negotiation Competition. Madeleine's prior work experience includes a legal internship at one of Canada’s largest institutional investment management corporations.
In her spare time, Madeleine enjoys skiing, playing card games, and reading.
