Madison Janes is an Associate in the firm's Tax Law group in Toronto. She assists clients with a wide variety of matters relating to income tax and GST/HST.
Madison's practice covers all areas of tax litigation and dispute resolution with federal and provincial tax authorities.
Madison completed her articling at another national law firm and also has experience working with one of Canada’s largest financial institutions. She earned her degrees in accounting and law from the University of New Brunswick. She was a semi-finalist in the 2022 Donald G. H. Bowman Nation Tax Moot and remains actively involved in coaching competitive moot teams.
Before joining Fasken, she practiced at a boutique tax litigation firm in Toronto, where she represented individuals and businesses at all stages of the tax dispute process, including audits, objections, and representation before courts in matters of appeal and judicial review proceedings.
