Manpreet Singh is a Partner in Fasken's Toronto office. She is a trusted advisor to Canadian, international and growth-stage companies bringing products to market in Canada, from early development to commercialization, and across a range of industries including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology, food and beverage, cosmetics, veterinary and consumer products.
Manpreet provides strategic guidance on licensing, market access, advertising, labelling, product recalls and the regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions. She advises on clinical trial management, patient support programs, digital health and pharmacy regulation as well as matters involving regulated healthcare professionals and other healthcare facilities across Canada.
She has a practical approach informed by years of engagement with government agencies as she routinely works across federal and provincial regulators to support clients in responding to inspections, inquiries and enforcement actions.
Manpreet's practice also encompasses matters relating to data governance and cross-border transfers, with particular experience in artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. She routinely assists organizations with risk management and compliance with Canadian privacy law and anti-spam legislation (CASL).
Complementing her regulatory and privacy practice, Manpreet also advises on complex contractual arrangements. She drafts and negotiates a broad range of agreements for manufacturing, procurement, outsourcing, licensing, joint development and service provider arrangements across diverse industries.
Having completed long-term secondments at three multinational pharmaceutical companies and worked closely alongside in-house counsel, she is business-friendly and brings a deep regulatory fluency to her work.
