Marilou Simard joined Fasken as a student in 2019 after completing her civil law degree at the Université de Montréal. She will enter the Faculty of Law at York University’s Osgoode Hall in the fall of 2019 to study common law.
While a student, Marilou was very involved in the student community. She served as vice president of internal affairs for her student association and sat on various committees, including the Model UN committee and the Law and Technology Committee. She also contributed to setting up the mediation clinic at the Université de Montréal. Marilou attended China University of Political Science and Law summer program, where she learned about the Chinese legal system.
She is passionate about travel and cooking and enjoys sports, including cycling and running.
Prior to joining Fasken, she worked as a law student for a large Quebec company. During her third year of law school, Marilou clerked for a judge of the Superior Court.
