Matthew Rebus completed his combined Juris Doctor and Honours Business Administrative Degree at the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Law and Richard Ivey School of Business where he was on the Dean’s Honour List and the recipient of a number of awards. In his final year of law school Matthew spent a semester on exchange at the National University of Singapore. Matthew’s work experience includes working as a Research Assistant where he assisted in drafting Anti-Corruption World Tennis case decisions and drafting materials for the Annotated Ontario PPSA and other publications related to bankruptcy and insolvency as well as alternate dispute resolution. He was a Summer Analyst for GFI Capital Partners and a Mortgage and Credit Administrator for Edge Financial Dominion Lending Centres. He was also a Summer Intern for two large international law firms in the UK. Matthew has extensive extracurricular experience. He was the Student Committee President of the Canada-United States Law Institute, President of Ivey Economics and Political Issues Club, a Mentor for the Ivey Law Club, Co-Founder of Prime Energy-Start Up, a member of the Grant Council of Western University Student Council and Voting Representative for Western University Student Council. Matthew enjoys Ironman triathlons, rock climbing, tennis and go-karting. He enjoys sushi and is a board game enthusiast, having created a finance-focused computerized version of Monopoly called “Free Market Monopoly”.
