Overview

Matthew Rebus is an associate in Fasken’s Business Law group and is engaged in a diverse corporate/commercial and securities law practice. He regularly advises public and private clients on a variety of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance. Matthew also works closely with high-growth and start-up companies on an array of matters including their formation, corporate governance, commercial contracting and financing.

Matthew is a graduate of the combined JD and Honors Business Administration program at the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Law and Richard Ivey School of Business where he completed an exchange at the National University of Singapore.

During his time at Western, Matthew has worked as a research associate for Professor Richard McLaren O.C. and as both a legal and investment banking analyst at GFI Capital Partners in London, England.

Matthew summered and articled with the Firm and was seconded to Coinsquare before joining as an associate in 2021.
