Overview

Meggie joined Fasken’s Vancouver office as a student in 2025 after completing her second year at Dalhousie’s Schulich School of Law. Prior to law school, Meggie earned a Masters in Resource & Environmental Management at Dalhousie, investigating risk-mitigative research techniques for cold-water corals along the Scotian shelf. She has had the pleasure of working in a number of roles for the federal government, including at Canada’s Vimy Ridge in France.

Meggie volunteers her time with both Dalhousie’s ProBono organization and the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Centre. She is vice-president of the John E. Read International Law Students Society and sits on the Executive of the Environmental Law Students Society. Through her student engagement, Meggie has had the opportunity to organize cross-provincial conferences with organizations like the Canadian Red Cross.

Meggie holds a Bachelors in Global & International Studies from Carleton University, with a Specialization in Global Law & Social Justice. She spent time living in Rotterdam on exchange before moving to Halifax, where she worked as an Oceans Biologist at DFO researching corals and sponges across Canada’s east coast.

An avid runner, Meggie enjoys long (albeit slow) runs along Vancouver’s seawall and recently completed the Vancouver marathon. Out of the office, she also enjoys hiking, camping, and taste-testing baked goods at Vancouver’s many bakeries.
