Nazish Mirza maintains a broad practice in all areas of corporate law including corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism, private equity and venture capital matters.
Nazish completed her J.D at Osgoode Hall Law School. Prior to law school, Nazish obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in International Development Studies from McGill University, where she graduated with Distinction. During law school, Nazish was actively involved in the school community. She served as a Director for the Osgoode Women’s Network during all three years of law school and as President of the Osgoode Muslim Law Students Association. In her final year of law school, Nazish competed as an oralist in the Davies Annual Corporate/Securities Law Moot where her team placed second overall and she placed within the top 10 oralists.
Prior to joining the firm, Nazish summered and articled at another prominent international law firm in Toronto and worked as in-house corporate counsel for a large insurance company.
Apart from her legal practice, Nazish is an avid traveller who previously lived in Egypt, Hong Kong and Amsterdam. She enjoys playing tennis in her spare time.
