Toronto (Canada) - Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced today the addition of five new lawyers to the firm's Toronto office. Brian Burkett, Douglas Gilbert, John Craig, Mathias Link and Sarah Graves will join the firm's Labour, Employment & Human Rights Group as partners.

Brian Burkett has practised exclusively in the area of management labour relations and employment law since 1978. He provides strategic labour and employment law advice for clients in the private and public sector and strategic input on the development of labour and employment law policy.

Douglas Gilbert's practice focuses on advocacy and advisory work on behalf of employers in the federal and provincial sectors. He represents employers before administrative tribunals, boards of arbitration and human rights tribunals.

John Craig practises exclusively in the area of labour, employment and pensions law. He advises Canadian, foreign and multinational institutions on a full range of cross-border and international labour matters. John is a prolific author and has published numerous articles related to international labour law.

Mathias Link's practice focuses on representing and advising federal and provincial sector employers in employment, labour and human rights matters. He provides clients with strategic advice in all areas of labour and employment law.

Sarah Graves focuses her practice on all aspects of employment law and human rights. She represents private and public employers and academic institutions and regularly provides strategic and practical advice to employers on a wide range of issues including multi-jurisdiction and international reorganizations.
