Montréal (Canada) - Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced today that the firm's Corporate/Commercial Law Group is welcoming Neil Wiener as a partner, and Sébastien Bellefleur as an associate.
Neil Wiener is an experienced lawyer whose practice focuses exclusively on securities law, particularly public funding. He works with major Québec issuers and advises them in large strategic transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions. He has served many times as lead counsel in the context of public and private placements, proxy contests, takeover bids and other transactions of this nature. In addition to being a member of the National Advisory Committee of the TSX Venture Exchange, Neil frequently gives presentations on corporate finance and securities.
The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory ranks Neil as repeatedly recommended in corporate finance and securities law.
Sébastien Bellefleur specializes in business law, more specifically in securities, mergers and acquisitions. He advises his clients on obtaining financing in the form of loans or equity.
"We are delighted to welcome Neil and Sebastien to our Corporate/Commercial Law Group. This group is already well established, and the arrival of these two new lawyers is an added value for our customers and will benefit the entire firm," said Éric Bédard, Fasken Martineau's managing partner for the Québec region.
