Montréal (Canada) – Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced that its eighth annual Montréal Symposium is taking place today at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

Over 750 professionals are participating in today's events, at which Fasken Martineau’s lawyers will share relevant and practical content with in-house counsel and legal professionals. The Montréal Symposium has reached full capacity, once again reaffirming its value for Montréal’s legal community.

Today’s workshops will address current and future legal and business issues, including the anatomy of acquisitions, exporting to the United States, funding methods for patent litigation, highlights from the New Code of Civil Procedure, and recent developments in labour and employment law. In-house counsel will be able to earn four hours toward the Barreau du Québec’s continuing education requirements.

The event will conclude with a luncheon conference on the US presidential elections featuring Raymond Chrétien, O.C., Partner and Strategic Advisor at Fasken Martineau and former ambassador of Canada to the United States, and John Parisella, Executive Director of Campus Montréal and former Delegate General of Québec in New York City.
