“Me Annie Bernard : prendre la salle d’audience comme scène” by Stéphanie Parent, ABC-Québec.
ABC-Québec quotes Montreal lawyer Annie Bernard in an article about her law career.
It was in CEGEP that Ms. Annie Bernard decided to become a lawyer, where she was driven by her love for theatre, improvisation… and argument. “When I’m in court I get the same feeling as I did when I’d improvise,” she says. For her, oral argument feels just like performing on stage and gets the same stage fright.
Originally from Quebec City, she completed her law degree at the Université Laval. She then became a student, an intern, and finally a lawyer at the Fasken Martineau office in Montreal, where she continues to practice. “I was born and raised Fasken,” she said laughing.
