Toronto (Canada) – Brook Greenberg, a Partner at Fasken, has won a 2019 Lexpert Zenith Award celebrating Change Agents in Law.
Lexpert recognizes the outstanding achievements of Canada’s best lawyers annually with the Lexpert Zenith Awards. The award was presented last night at a gala dinner in Toronto.
Part of Fasken’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, Brook is a leading British Columbia litigator and an elected Bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia. The Litigation and Dispute Resolution group is comprised of internationally-recognized litigators that have won major trials and appeals for large multi-national companies in a variety of industries - mining, technology, financial institutions, communications, aviation, health, energy and life sciences.
As the former Leader of the Firm’s Forestry industry practice group, Brook has significant experience both regionally and nationally, and has appeared before all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada. Brook ensures that clients' business objectives are the primary focus of the litigation strategy. He is sought out by clients for representation in civil litigation, arbitration and regulatory matters.
In his role as a Bencher, Brook is currently chair of the Law Society Mental Health Task Force, a member of the Law Society Ethics Committee and Equity and Diversity Advisory Committee. Brook has previously served as chair and vice chair of the Law Society Discipline Committee, vice chair of the Equity and Diversity Advisory Committee and a member of the Access to Legal Services Advisory Committee and the Unauthorized Practice Committee.
Brook teaches Civil Procedure as an Adjunct Professor at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. He is a frequent contributor to CLE BC (Continuing Legal Education Society of BC), and was a member of the planning committee and a featured presenter in the videos used to create the Advocacy Toolkit; an award winning learning resource provided by CLE BC.
